KBR (NYSE: KBR) has been awarded NASA Super Nova Awards for 2024 Safety Excellence by the Johnson Space Center Contractor Safety Forum across four major contracts in NASA's Human Exploration Division. KBR will deliver pre-FEED by Q2 2025, followed by FEED engineering for the commercial facility. Samsara Eco has already partnered with lululemon, creating the world's first enzymatically recycled nylon 6,6 product and a limited-edition Packable Anorak jacket made from recycled polyester.

The project will implement KBR's proprietary H2ACT® ammonia cracking technology to produce clean hydrogen, supporting Korea's decarbonization initiatives. The scope includes research, analysis, and recommendations to enhance availability, reliability, and reduce support costs for the CH-47 Chinook helicopter for Cargo Helicopter Project Management Office and Foreign Military Sales partners. KBR will conduct maintainability analyses, quality assessments, supportability strategies, logistics management, and life cycle cost analyses.

The CH-47 Chinook serves critical roles in troop and cargo transport, medical evacuation, search and rescue, and disaster relief operations. KBR has secured a $176M cost-plus fixed-fee, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract from the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) for the Air Force Maui Optical and Supercomputing Site (AMOS) in Hawaii. The Advanced Space Technology Research and Optimization (ASTRO) contract spans seven years.
